Basketball NI Cup Competition Finals Day 2025

Basketball NI community, get ready for an action-packed day as the Basketball NI Cup Competition Finals take place on Sunday 2nd March at De La Salle College, Belfast. The day will feature five exciting finals across our five Senior divisions, showcasing the best teams battling for silverware. The first game tips off at 9:30am and continuing all day so make sure to come down and catch all the excitement!

Men’s Division 3 Shield Final

UU Tigers 4 vs. Mourne BC9:30AM
The day kicks off with the Men’s Division 3 Shield Final, where UU Tigers 4 take on Mourne BC. This is a new division to our Cup Competition this season and we cannot see who is going to take home the Shield for the first year! After impressive semi-final victories, UU Tigers 4 defeating Lurgan Lakers 1 (61-47) and Mourne BC dominating Antrim Jets BC (72-38) – both teams will be eager to claim the title. Expect a fast-paced, high-energy clash to start the day!

Men’s Division 2 Bowl Final

Tyrone Towers vs. Hazelwood Hawks11:30AM
Next up, Tyrone Towers face Hazelwood Hawks in the Men’s Division 2 Bowl Final. Tyrone Towers secured their spot with a commanding 62-38 win over Magherafelt Titans, while Hazelwood Hawks edged out Newry Eagles (63-58) in a tightly contested battle with both teams top in the current league. Both teams will need to bring their best performance to claim victory.
