Titanic Quarter Limited has teamed up with Basketball Northern Ireland to celebrate the opening of the new 3×3 Basketball Court at South Yard Square.
The new outdoor court forms part of South Yard Square, recently opened as part of the Loftlines development, alongside a children’s Play Park and landscaped spaces.
The collaboration builds on Titanic Quarter’s existing partnership with Basketball NI, increasing participation in the sport and supporting the local basketball community. South Yard Square provides an opportunity to bring urban sport into the heart of Titanic Quarter, with an accessible outdoor facility for everyone to enjoy.

Max Richardson, Belfast Star Basketball Club Player and Senior Men’s 3×3 Team NI, christens the South Square Yard 3×3 with a dunk.
James Eyre, Chief Executive of Titanic Quarter Limited, said:
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Basketball Northern Ireland and to see basketball become part of South Yard Square.
“The new 3×3 court is about encouraging people to get active, have fun and enjoy the space together. We hope it will introduce more people to the sport, while providing a first-class outdoor facility for everyone to get out and shoot some hoops in the heart of Titanic Quarter.”
Marc Mulholland, Head of Operations, Basketball Northern Ireland, said:
“We’re delighted to work with Titanic Quarter to help bring 3×3 basketball into this fantastic new community space. Having accessible courts where people can simply pick up a ball and play is hugely important in encouraging participation and helping the sport continue to grow.
We are so thankful for the time invested by the Titanic Quarter team working with us to create a space with the highest standard of equipment to support the local and wider basketball community.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the court being used and welcoming lots of new faces to basketball.”

The 3×3 Basketball Court is now open at South Yard Square and is free for the community to enjoy.
