Team NI U18 Women Squad Announced

Following the recent trial the following players have been selected for the Team NI Under 18 Women Squad. This programme will begin with Performance Camp One taking place between 3^rd-5^th January 2025. The squad will work towards preparation for the National Under 17 area board tournament in May and games v Wales and Basketball Ireland academies in the summer of 2025.

Andy Gill, BNI Performance Pathway Lead stated, “Encouraging a wide group of women players is a key priority for basketball Northern Ireland and we have many players who have been involved in the U15 and U17 programmes last season back in the squad. We look forward to working with this great group of young women and giving them opportunities to train and play.”

Paddy McGaharan, Head Coach of the U18 Women’s squad is looking forward to the challenge ahead saying, “I am absolutely thrilled to get started with our next Team NI training camp with a group of hardworking and talented girls.
The work ethic and attention to detail displayed by the girls has been excellent and I look forward to delving into more complex and advanced basketball concepts in the next camp.”
