Team NI announce new coaching staff to lead the U17 Girls team
Team NI is excited to announce more significant advancements within its programme, showcasing a commitment to nurturing young talent and elevating the standards of high-performance basketball in Northern Ireland. Team NI is set to enter a dynamic phase with the appointment of new coaching staff and an intensified focus on performance pathways.
Team NI is delighted to announce Will Hopper as U17 Girls Head Coach and Paddy McGaharan as Assistant Coach for the U17 Girls.
Head Coach, Will Hopper, is beyond excited to work with U17 Team NI squad for the upcoming period.
Marc Mulholland, Vice Chair of BNI shared his delight in the Team NI appointment…
“Coach Will Hopper brings with him a wealth of knowledge working across the UK and working with the BBL and NBL coaching both Men’s and Womens basketball at a high level. I also welcome the experience Paddy McGaharan who will be assisting Will with the U17 Girls. Assistant Coach McGaharan has played and worked across his club and schools basketball over the years and contributed to the BNI Academies which have now evolved into our performance pathway in Team NI. We look forward to working with both coaches in the coming programme as we continue to grow our pathway for performance.”
Paddy McGaharan, as the newly appointed Assistant Coach, brings a vast amount of player experience to Team NI, hoping to add to the coaching team’s capabilities in developing young talents.
