TEAM NI announce final squad of 12 for U15 Boys test series vs Wales this month!
The final squad of 12 for Team NI U15 Boys team have been announced. This team will engage in further training and preparation before the team will travel for the ‘Test Series’ on the 17th & 18th of February against Basketball Wales.
BNI would like to thank Basketball Wales Head of Performance Phil Gordos for his support and cooperation and organisation of the series.
Associate Head Coach, Michael McCabe“Firstly, I want to express gratitude to all players and their families for their commitment to Team NI U15 Boys. The players’ effort and attitude has been excellent throughout, making them great representatives of their clubs and families. After careful consideration, we have selected 12 players to bring to Wales on the 17th-18th of February for Team NI’s first international series of 2024. We now shift our focus to the trip, where we aim to put the hard work of both our extended and current squad into practice.”

“This panel of players, along with their parents and guardians, have been extremely committed to this process. It is fantastic to see in the final 12 players selected there are a spread of 6 clubs represented geographically showing us that the development of the sport continues to grow thanks to the input of our club coaches. I would like to thank our BNI clubs as they have continued to work with us, being flexible with their players, during this time.
We look forward to the challenge of Basketball Wales in the coming weeks. Furthermore, we are excited with the ongoing efforts for this panel as we prepare and begin to enter into the summer programme in the coming months.
Finally a special thanks goes to our team of Coaches, Team NI Performance team and BNI Staff who have been working hard to help our panel of players develop within this pathway.”
