Basketball NI would like to highlight the amazing achievement of one of our female referees – Niamh Callaghan (middle in picture).
Last week Niamh refereed Belgium v North Macedonia in the Womens FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers in Belgium.
Basketball NI would like to work with Niamh in the future to develop our yellow whistle referees and highlight what opportunities are available to our junior referees. Niamh is paving the way for females in our sport and we know she will be a huge inspirations to all females – whether that be a referee, player, table official or coach.
Congratulation Niamh on this amazing achievement and we cannot wait to see what is to come in the future.
