As Basketball Northern Ireland (BNI) prepares for the start of its biggest season yet, we are delighted to announce the new Competitions Committee for the 2024/25 season. This committee will play a vital role in overseeing the running of all leagues and competitions, ensuring that the upcoming season is a success for players, coaches, and fans alike.
We are pleased to welcome Malachy Kearney as the new Chairperson of the Competitions Committee. Malachy brings a passion for the sport, and he is eager to lead the committee during this exciting new chapter for basketball in Northern Ireland.
In his own words, Malachy expressed his enthusiasm for the season ahead:
“It is a great privilege to be chairing the Competitions Committee as we move into the 2024-2025 season. It’s a very exciting time for basketball in Northern Ireland. This will be our biggest season ever. Our Senior leagues are going digital, and we have more clubs participating in more leagues than ever before.”
