Over the Christmas period there has been a flurry of squad selections for the underage Irish national teams. This is great testament to the skill, commitment and work effort of these young players and we wish them further success as they get closer to the ultimatum goal of representing Ireland on the international stage.
Ireland U16 Men- Layden O’Neill, Belfast Star
Layden, a Team NI stalwart and top scorer in the games last summer makes his debut in the squad of 19.
Ireland U16 Women – Hannah Cassin, Queens
Hannah, top scorer for Team NI U15 women in the series against Wales last summer continues to showcase her development.
Ireland U18 men- Mark Burns, Belfast Star
Mark, a full international for Ireland U16 men last summer at the European championships is once again on the pathway for further international recognition.
Ireland U18 Women – Aoibheann Donnelly
Aoibheann, captain of the Ireland U16 women in the European championship last summer has recovered from injury to take her place in the recently announced squad. Aoibheann is a great supporter of Team NI, always making time to attend sessions when her busy schedule allows.
