Phoenix round off the perfect season to clench the U18 Boys A league title

 Belfast Phoenix U18 A Boys have soared to victory, capping off an impeccable season with an undefeated record of 13-0 and securing the U18 Boys A League title. The team’s remarkable performance has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Throughout the season, Phoenix U18 A Boys have showcased their prowess on the court, boasting impressive statistics that speak volumes about their skill and determination. With an astounding 1239 points scored and only 633 points conceded to date, they’ve maintained an average score line of 95-48, prevailing in every match.

As they head into the final stretch of the season, Phoenix U18 A Boys have just one games remaining against Newry Fliers on 22nd February. This is setting the stage for an epic showdown against Letterkenny Blaze in the playoff finals in March.

Jacob Byrne, Phoenix U18 A Boys Captain, expressed his excitement to add another item of silverware to their collection following an exciting season so far.

“In this, our 20th anniversary season, our Under 18s have truly excelled. Following our historic win in the U18 Billy Coffey National Cup in January, winning the BNI league is the icing on the cake, and we are looking forward to maintaining our unbeaten record in the last couple of league games. The league play-offs and finals day is always a great climax to the season and we’re quietly confident of adding to our silverware.”

In the race for third place, Belfast Star and UU Tigers are locked in a battle, each with a 7-5 record and two games remaining. Meanwhile, BC Wolves and Newry Fliers find themselves in the middle of the pack. Finally fighting to stay up are Queens BC with a 2-12 record after playing all their games and the Hazelwood Hawks who are 2-11 and require 1 win in their last game against Belfast Star to take them off bottom spot.

Blackwater Steelers Aim to Claw Back Belfast Star to Win U18 Girls Title

Blackwater steelers have to win their last 2 games to secure the U18 Girls title. Blackwater stealers record is 6-1 with three games remaining while league leaders Belfast star are 7-1 with one game remaining.

The Tyrone Towers have emerged as the undisputed champions of the U18 Boys B League, capping off a flawless season with an impressive 10 wins from 10 games. The team’s unwavering determination and exceptional performance saw them come out top in both home and away fixtures, securing victory against every opponent they faced.

As the season draws to a close Lurgan Lakers showcased their prowess on the court, securing their spot in the playoff finals with an impressive 7-2 record. Meanwhile, the Belfast Phoenix U18B team demonstrated resilience with a balanced 5-5 record, positioning themselves as formidable contenders in the league.

North-Star Warriors experienced a rollercoaster season, finishing with a 4-6 record. Despite facing challenges, the team remains optimistic about their prospects for the upcoming year, aiming to build upon their achievements.

Bringing up the rear are UU Tigers and Poyntzpass Pumas, both of whom showed potential with notable wins throughout the season. Although they faced stiff competition, their determination shone through, laying the groundwork for future success.
