A squad of 29 boys and 25 girls have been selected to be part of a ‘first squad’ of Team NI U17’s boys and girls. Following a further practice session on the 16th of March the squads will be reduced to 20-22 boys and 18-20 girls to take part in performance camp one at University of Ulster, Jordanstown on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April.
The process continues to select players to represent Team NI in international play during the summer. Members of the squad will have further opportunities to press their claim for selection for the ‘second squad’ who will be invited to the first performance camp in April. This ‘second squad’ will then commence a block of training in preparation for the Area board tournament on the May 11th and 12th of May.
