Team NI coach and management opportunities
Basketball Northern Ireland are recruiting for coaches, assistants coaches and team managers at all levels of experience for supporting roles across all teams.
There are opportunities for head coaches, assistant coaches, development coaches and team managers.
Basketball NI has a core of experienced coaches and coach educators led by performance coordinator Andy Gill who will support the development of interested personnel . Long term Team NI coaches Paddy McGaharan and Marc Mulholland had this to say about this experiences within Team NI:
“Coaching the U18 women over the last 3 years has been a fulfilling experience. I have been provided with clear technical guidance and had the opportunity to complete my level 2 BI coaching award which was wholly funded by BNI. “I have had great experiences Coaching within Team NI’s pathway at U15 and U17 level along with supporting the development of 3×3 Commonwealth Pathway for Performance. It is difficult to get oppourtunities to develop your basketball journey as a coach but this has been a informative and a great way to development my coaching skillset at an international level supported by working towards Level 2 BI Coaching certification. Over the past 3 years I’ve seen great developments in our young talent across genders and age groups.
Getting the chance to work with young athletes who are hungry to learn, grow, and represent Team NI shaping them both on and off the court outside of a club setting has been a great journey.
