TEAM NI announce squad of 16 for U15 Boys, working towards test series vs Wales in February 2024!
The squad of 16 for Team NI U15B team have been announced. These teams will engage in further training before the final 12 players will be announced for the upcoming trip to Wales for the ‘Test Series’.
“We wanted to express our appreciation to all the players who participated in the training camps and selection process for Team NI U15B for this test series. Our Clubs have been developing young talent and it is great to see the hard work that each and every one of their players brought to the court during the performance camps. This shows a great reflection of standard of basketball and the dedication of the players, their families and their clubs. Choosing the 16 for U15B Team has been a challenging task. With such a high standard of play, it’s a testament to the incredible talent we have in our basketball community. Congratulations to the 16 selected we look forward to the next few weeks of trainings as we work towards the test series against Basketball Wales.”

The selection process took place after a series of performance camps and coach scouting at league games, seeing players in their own environment. The Team NI Performance Pathway made advances over Christmas and the New Year with Training Camps at Ulster University were players underwent on-court practice as well as engaged in Strength and Conditioning training and Sports Psychology workshops, delivered by the Team NI Elite Performance Team.

The selection process was directed by BNI’s Performance Coordinator, Andy Gill along with the team’s coaching panel.
The entire Team NI U15B Squad will return together for the spring/summer phase of performance camps. The Coaching staff and all involved with Team NI would like to thank the players, parents and clubs for all their commitment to this pathway helping enhance and grow the elite pathway for basketball in Northern Ireland.
