This weekend, Ulster University Jordanstown will play host to an electrifying event that promises to set a new benchmark for basketball in the region. The 3×3 International Event will bring together top-tier basketball talent from Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland for a weekend of intense competition and high-level training.

Pat O’Neill, Northern Development Officer for Basketball Ireland, expressed his enthusiasm about the event, stating, “I am really excited to be hosting an International 3×3 event here in Northern Ireland. With GB, Ireland and our own Northern Ireland teams training and competing, we hope it’ll be the first of many. We couldn’t do this without the support of Basketball Northern Ireland, Basketball Ireland, and the Commonwealth, and we thank them for all their support.”
Basketball NI are optimistic about the future, seeing this weekend as the first of many such gatherings that will elevate the profile of 3×3 basketball in the country. With plans for further events already in the pipeline.

The tournament begins on Saturday at 6:30pm with all teams competing against each other in both, the mens and women’s event, then on Sunday the tournament will resume at 2:00pm.
