QUB Men and Women’s Basketball hosted their first Basketball Clinic with NBA Star Enes Kanter Freedom in association with the 2023 One Young World conference!
Having last played for the Boston Celtics, Freedom boasts an impressive resume having also played for the New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Utah Jazz throughout his career and BNI representatives were delighted to be invited to welcome him to Belfast to provide his unique insight to the game to the students of QUB Men’s Basketball and Womens Basketball!
Honourary BNI President, Mary Matthews, was on hand along with BNI Vice Chair, Marc Mulholland, BNI Performance Pathway Officer, Andy Gill and Basketball Development Officer, Rafi Olmassakian to welcome Freedom to Belfast and present him with a Team NI gift as he helped develop the sport within Queens UB.
Also participating today were players from Queens Varsity teams and players on scholarship as part of the Cleveland NI Project to help grow the participation in basketball 🏀 within the university.
This was a great event and Basketball NI would like to thank Queens University Belfast for the great opportunity for their students and players and Thank Enes Freedom for his time with everyone at the event!
