BNI STAFF TEAM GROWS WITH SPORT NI SPORTS SYSTEMS INVESTMENT

Basketball Northern Ireland have been awarded £94,000 to our Sports System Investment – Governing Bodies 2023 – 24 award. The funding will help build on the physical resource in basketball and has allowed us to recruit two new roles within our growing staff team that will focus on Basketball Development and Performance Pathway. Basketball NI Board has been working behind the scenes with Sport Northern Ireland in a bid to direct resources into our basketball community. “We are delighted to take this step forward for basketball with Sport NI’s support in the Sports System Investment for governing bodies. This is just the first step in building the resources that are needed to help grow our sport” Say’s Basketball NI Chair, Kevin Craig We are excited to welcome two new staff members who will help complement our strategy in growing the basketball across the region. Our goal is to continue to build a team and the resources that is equal of other NGB’s here in NI so that we can give every young person and adult the opportunity to enjoy the game of basketball.
