Basketball NI Host Primary School Blitz at Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre

Over the past 6 weeks Basketball NI have been offering basketball coaching to 3 schools in the East Belfast area and we were delighted to have them join us at Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre on Tuesday 7th March for a blitz day between the schools.

The schools started with a very fun warm up with coaches Rachel, Emily, Nat and Conor then got into 3×3 games so they could show off all the new skills they had learnt over the past few weeks.

We would to thank Sport NI for providing funding through their Club Environment Transition Programme in order to provide these sessions.

Thank you to Basketball Ireland and Ulster University for providing coaches for the programme.

Thank you to the Strandtown Primary School, Euston Street Primary School and St Matthews Primary School for taking part in the coaching sessions and attending our blitz day! We hope you all had as much fun as we did.

Following Lurgan and East Belfast, BNI are currently coaching in Bangor and Larne for the next 6 weeks so keep an eye out to see how their blitz days go.

We are about to get started!
