With the close of the 2024-25 Team NI performance programme it’s time to look back at some of the highlights of the season and celebrate our outstanding players and coaches. Basketball NI provided players for the Irish national teams at U14, U16, U18, female U23 and senior 3×3, female senior 5v5 and male senior 5v5. The Team NI senior 3×3 squads also were able to compete in some high-level events in preparation for the Commonwealth games qualifying event in May 2026.
Our U15 and U17 squads once again took on their Welsh counterpart coming out with a 6-2 record and providing great opportunities for our young starlets. We also held our first development camp at UUJ and this is something we hope to build on for the future. Once again, we are indebted to Sport NI, SINI and the Commonwealth Games Federation of Northern Ireland for their support and the commitment of our players and parents. Information for the U15 and U17 initial trial process has been sent to clubs and updated registration links will soon be available.
