Continuing the upward trajectory of 3×3 in Northern Ireland, the Senior 3×3 Team NI men are embarking on a trip to London on Saturday 5th where they will compete in the Shoreditch Summer Slam. This has been classified as a Quest event, which is the second highest tier of men’s 3×3 basketball. The team, led by Ryan McCormick and containing players who achieved some great results at the recent Team NI Senior 3×3 Celtic Invitational, are looking forward to the challenge the event will bring. Team NI will be known as Team Belfast and the many GB national team players will also be known as city teams.

Performance Pathway Coordinator Andy Gill stated, “Following on from the U23 Ireland women success we are indebted to the Commonwealth Games Federation Northern for their support in this event. There is no substitute for playing games at the highest level and I am sure the men will step up to the mark as they did in the recent Team NI Senior 3×3 Celtic Invitational”.
