Kevin Craig

Kevin Craig has been working in the BNI Treasurer role since October of 2019.

With a fantastic playing history at Superleague level at Belfast Star Basketball Club and a professional career working in the Financial sector Kevin understands what it takes to handle business both on the court and off.

In the spirit of sharing his basketball knowledge Kevin helped to develop the Andersonstown Tigers Basketball Club Men’s team and after a short sabbatical from the game, he returned recharged to Belfast Star BC to play BNI Premier league and assist as a junior coach.

Favourite thing to do? (other than basketball): Walk Cave Hill or Divis Mountain with the family.

What is your Favourite Film? The Wanderers.

Favourite Sporting Moment? The Block ! (Game 7, Lebron vs Warriors)

Can you tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t already know? I like to paint (oils and acrylics).

If you can invite 4 people to dinner who would they be? (Currently alive and not friends or family…)

Phil Jackson, Frankie Boyle, Flea and Dennis Rodman, that could be a fun party!!

What advice would you give to your teenage self, knowing what you know today?

Embarrassment only lasts minutes, experiences can last a lifetime.

What are your hopes for the future for basketball in Northern Ireland?

In the short term, Id love to see professional infrastructure to guide, enable and assist the army of volunteers currently delivering the sport. Longer term, I’d love to see a purpose built centre of excellence for participants of all levels.
