Frank Bryan OBE

Frank has an established track record of championing change through constructive challenge of executive leadership teams, with a strong focus on building company value and stakeholder confidence. He also has extensive experience as a Company Director, Non-Executive Director, Trustee and Chair, shaping strategy and business planning while driving operational performance improvement and culture change. In particular, Frank has a deep understanding of and affinity with entrepreneurial businesses and start-up ventures, leveraging his extensive network to support business growth and secure investment.

As a Managing Director, drawing on his experience as a Chartered Engineer, Frank successfully turned around a third-generation family business by developing a new market niche in technology-based engineering and personalised support services. As a CEO focused on technical commercialisation, he delivered a significant increase in spin-out companies based on university research. In his formative years as a senior engineer with ICI / AstraZeneca, Frank led the design and commissioning of major chemical production plants for international markets, including the development of computer simulations to optimise production and quality control.

Furthermore, Frank has been appointed to significant public leadership roles, championing skills development and business growth while promoting best practice in corporate governance across the private, public and charitable sectors. His experience includes contributing to investment and legislative change in both Northern Ireland and Westminster.
