22nd August 2026, the Basketball Northern Ireland Board came together for the first session of our Board Development Programme, facilitated by Paul White.
The workshop provided an important opportunity to step away from the day-to-day business of the organisation and focus on the bigger picture how we work together, the culture we want to create, our shared understanding of strategy, and how we can continue to add value to the development of basketball across BNI.
There were plenty of positive and constructive conversations around performance, collaboration, inclusiveness and accountability, while also looking at the skills and experience around the table and how we can best use those to support the organisation moving forward.
Good governance is about more than meetings and decisions. It is about continuing to learn, challenge ourselves and ensure we are creating the right environment for our sport to grow.
A big thank you to Paul White for facilitating the session and to our Board members for their continued voluntary commitment to Basketball NI.
We look forward to building on the work from this first session as the Board Development Programme continues.
