Basketball NI has recently implemented a new up to date safeguarding policy. All clubs should have safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure that every child has a right to equal protection from harm. Setting up and following good safeguarding policies and procedures means children are safe from adults and other children who might pose a risk.
Every Basketball NI club requires a Designated Safeguarding Officer and all volunteers involved in the club require Safeguarding Children. Basketball NI are aware that the majority of clubs are in need of safeguarding courses so we have highlighted some upcoming courses below for club members to avail of.
